Already Burdensome Federal Methane Rule Could Get Worse

IPANM (Dec. 1, 2021) – An ambiguous, repetitive, and overly burdensome proposed Federal Methane rule proposed by the Biden Administration will actually become even more anti-energy as new provisions keep getting slapped on to the already shoddy proposal.

Environmentally funded E&E Greenwire reports that the EPA plans to “strengthen” its proposal to include an “even more ambitious agenda.”

IPANM has already publicly warned the Biden administration that the current EPA proposed rule will directly impact New Mexico and New Mexicans, but feels continued double-downing of bad regulations will further decimate independent producers.
