IPANM Member Donations Provide COVID-19 Relief To Communities

IPANM’s member companies have generously donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to COVID-19 relief efforts in New Mexico. While there are undoubtedly more IPANM companies who are not featured here (please send us your COVID-19 donation information), we’d like to offer a quick sample of generosity of the Oil & Gas Industry to our communities during this crisis.

Northwest Region
Thanks to a strong consortium of IPANM member companies, highlighted by Logos Resources and DJR Energy, the Four Corners COVID Tribal Relief Project through API has raised over $50,000 dollars to “rapidly secure funds to purchase facemasks, antibacterial products, and other critical items needed to attack the spread of the virus on Tribal Lands and to distribute those the items where it’s needed the most.” Additional IPANM member companies who have donated to the effort include Merrion Oil & Gas, Whiptail Midstream, as well as IPANM supportive companies Basin Disposal and Aztec Well Servicing. Also in the Northwest Region, IPANM supportive company PESCO retooled some of its manufacturing to create protective masks for the region. Well done to all companies who support COVID-19 relief efforts in the Four Corners!

Southeast Region
There have been numerous IPANM member companies who have donated to relief efforts, too many to give mentio in this update. But, some examples include IPANM member companies Santo Petroleum and Conoco Philips who have generously donated to the United Way Relief Fund to benefit COVID-19 relief efforts in the Permian. The majors who support IPANM as corporate members have donated a lot of money into community efforts on many different fronts. XTO and Chevron continue to donate money, materials, school assistance, and food to those suffering from both COVID-19 and the economic downturn in the region. Marathon Oil has also been busy in the region with donations to help the community. IPANM is proud of all of our members and member companies in the Southeast who have assisted during the pandemic!

None of the member companies highlighted above solicited IPANM for recognition for their efforts, which further illustrates why our members and member companies are truly unsung heroes during this pandemic! Moving forward, IPANM asks member companies who are either financially or otherwise supporting COVID-19 relief efforts in our local communities to pass along updates to Operations Director Kacy Brown at kacybrown@ipanm.org. We want to highlight and promote industry efforts on all of our media channels!
